NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER AND WHO ARE PHYSICALLY LOCATED AND RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. VOID IN PUERTO RICO AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

  1. ELIGIBILITY: No Purchase Necessary. The eBay "Give. Good. Green." Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older, who are physically located and reside in the United States or District of Columbia at the time of entry ("Eligible Participant"). Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Employees, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members, of eBay, Inc., ("eBay") and eBay Inc.'s affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions ("eBay Entities") (eBay and eBay Entities collectively, "Sponsor"), advertising and promotion agencies, KOMPOLT and Strobe Promotions, Inc. are not eligible to enter. Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws. U.S. law governs this Sweepstakes and personal jurisdiction shall exclusively be the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara, California.

  2. SWEEPSTAKES TIMING/DESCRIPTION: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on September 1, 2009 and ends 11:59:59 PM PT on October 16, 2009 (the "Promotion Period"). During the Promotion Period, Eligible Participants will be entered in the Sweepstakes for actions taken on various websites (see Rule 3 on how to enter). One (1) Grand Prize, three (3) Second Prizes and six hundred (600) Weekly Prizes (100 per week) will be awarded at the end of the Promotion Period.

  3. HOW TO ENTER: Eligible Participants may enter the Sweepstakes by logging into either their eBay, eBay Green Team, Facebook, or Twitter accounts as detailed below. More than one entry is allowed subject to the restrictions in this Section 3.

    • eBay Entry
      Go to www.ebaygivegoodgreen.com and log onto the eBay "Give. Good. Green." website by signing onto eBay with your eBay User ID and password. Once you have successfully logged in, you will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes each time you do one of the following:

      1. Using links provided on the website, upload a photograph (the "Photograph") of yourself, then fill out the entry information in the link provided. Photographs must not contain any trademarks or tradenames of any third party (including brand names and brands recognizable by their shape or form), must not contain offensive, violent, racially disparaging, sexual, or any other image, word, or gesture that, in eBay's sole discretion, is offensive or inappropriate (the "Photograph"). The Photograph must be in either JPG or GIF electronic formats and may not exceed 300K in size. Photographs may not be produced by professional photographers or subject to any other copyright other than that of the entrant and must be of good quality, unpublished and may not have won any prize or award. Modifying, enhancing, retouching or altering any photographs provided in connection with this Sweepstakes in any way may disqualify the entrant, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Photograph must be in keeping with the Sponsor's image, and may not be offensive, nor can it defame, or invade upon the publicity rights or privacy of any person or otherwise infringe upon any person's or entity's intellectual property, personal or proprietary rights, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Only one (1) eBay.com Photograph entry is allowed per entrant.

      2. Go to the eBay Giving Works website at http://www.ebaygivingworks.com and purchase an eBay Giving Works item or list an item to benefit a certified nonprofit during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided . One (1) entry will be given for each purchase transaction.

      3. Go to the World of Good website at http://worldofgood.ebay.com/ and purchase an item during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided. One (1) entry will be given for each purchase transaction.

      4. Go to https://www.microplace.com/ and register with MicroPlace or make an investment during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided. Terms & conditions regarding MicroPlace apply.

      5. Go to eBay Giving Works at http://www.ebaygivingworks.com/ and make a donation using Donate Now during the Promotion Period , then fill out the entry information in the link provided.

      6. Make a donation when you pay for a purchase with PayPal on eBay using eBay Checkout during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided.

      7. Go to www.ebay.com/givegoodgreen and click and download a promotional campaign Banner during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided.

    • Facebook Entry.
      In order to enter the Sweepstakes via Facebook, you must be a member of Facebook.com. If you already have a Facebook account, submit your password and log in. If you are not an existing member of Facebook, you will be required to follow the directions and sign up for Facebook. When you sign up for Facebook, you are indicating that you have read and agree to Facebook's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Membership to Facebook.com is free. To enter the Sweepstakes via Facebook:

      1. Become a Fan of the or the eBay Giving Works Facebook page at facebook.com/eBayGivingWorks

      2. Become a Fan of the World of Good Facebook at facebook.com/pages/WorldofGoodcom/108239916825/

      3. Become a Fan of the MicroPlace Facebook page at facebook.com/microplace

      4. Become a Fan of the eBay Green Team Facebook page at facebook.com/eBayGreen

      5. Upload a Photograph of yourself using the Facebook application located on any Fan page provided during the Promotion Period. Photograph must be in either JPG or GIF electronic formats and may not exceed 300K in size and meet other requirements set forth herein.

      6. Post a promotional message to your Facebook Profile using the "Share on Facebook" button found at www.ebaygivegoodgreen.com

      7. Invite a Facebook Friend using the "Invite a Friend" button found at www.ebaygivegoodgreen.com

    • Twitter Entry.
      In order to enter the Sweepstakes via Twitter, you must have a non-private Twitter account ("Twitter account"). If you are not an existing member of Twitter, you will be required to follow the directions and join Twitter. When you join Twitter, you are indicating that you have read and agree to accept the Twitter Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Membership to Twitter.com is free. To enter the Sweepstakes via Twitter:

      1. Sign on to your Twitter account and post a tweet including the hashtag #eBayGGG during the Promotion Period. Your tweet must be in the English language.

    • eBay Green Team Entry:
      Only one (1) Green Team entry is allowed per entrant. You may also enter the Sweepstakes by going to http://www.ebaygreenteam.com/ and signing up to become a member of the eBay Green Team during the Promotion Period, then fill out the entry information in the link provided.

    • Alternate Method of Entry:
      Go to http://ebay.promotionexpert.com/givegoodgreen/amoe.html, click on the sweepstakes link and complete and submit the sweepstakes registration form by providing the information required during the Promotion Period. You must acknowledge that you have read and you agree to these Official Rules by checking the box that appears on the sweepstakes registration form.

    Entry Deadline: All Entries, regardless of method of entry, must be received between Monday @ 12:00:00 AM PT and Sunday @ 11:59:59 PM PT each week during the Promotion Period (with the exception of the last week, which will run from Monday @ 12:00:00 AM PT through Friday @ 11:59:59 PM PT) in order to be eligible for that week's random drawing. Non-winning weekly entries will not be eligible for subsequent weekly random drawings. All Entries, regardless of method of entry, must be received by 11:59:59 PM PT on October 16, 2009 in order to be eligible for the random drawing to award the Grand & Second Prizes.

    There is a limit of twelve (12) entries per eBay user ID, Facebook Account, Twitter Account and/or per person/email address per day, regardless of method of entry. Subsequent entries submitted by the same entrant on the same day are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Entries will not be judged or scored. Once you submit your entry in the Sweepstakes, your entry is final and may not be modified or edited. Modifying or editing an entry subsequent to submission will result in the entry being disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to remove any entry posted that the Sponsor feels, in its sole discretion, is inappropriate or objectionable. If entry is removed from a website by Sponsor, entry is automatically disqualified. Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. The Website's database clock will be the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes. Entrant must have a valid email address and Facebook profile to enter via Facebook. Entries via Facebook will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the Facebook profile at the time the entry is submitted. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address that is registered with the Facebook profile. Entries via Twitter will be deemed made by the authorized account holder associated with the username used to enter via Twitter. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a username by twitter.com. You may enter using only a twitter.com account subscribed to and registered in your name. Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the person subscribed and registered to the username from which entries are received. The potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the user name/email address associated with the winning entry. Entries via an eBay website will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the eBay User ID from which the entry is made. For these purposes, the authorized account holder is the natural person assigned to the eBay User ID by eBay Inc.

    Entries that are mechanically reproduced, copied, illegible, incomplete or inaccurate are void. Incomplete Entries or Entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entries that have been generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification, at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, damaged, or misdirected entries. Sponsor's decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves all rights, including the right to edit, publish, use, adapt, modify, or dispose of any entry, proper names, likenesses, and photographs for advertising and promotional purposes in all media (including, but not limited to, the internet) without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. If an entrant changes his/her telephone number, email address, and/or street address, and/or Facebook or Twitter account after he/she enters the Sweepstakes, it is his/her sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor by (postal) mailing notice to Sponsor's address (listed below) to be received by the end of the Promotion Period.

    Entrants may use the eBay name in their entry in a descriptive manner; however, use of the eBay logo or any intellectual property owned by eBay is prohibited.

    Any entrant whose Photograph includes likenesses of third parties or contains content or elements not owned by the entrant (such as, but not limited to, depictions of buildings, songs, individual names, trademarks, or logos) must be able to provide written legal releases (in a form that is satisfactory to Sponsor) that permit the entrant to use and exploit such elements in the manner used and exploited and that permit Sponsor's right to use and exploit the content and materials in accordance with these Official Rules ("IP Releases") before eligible to be declared a winner.

    ALL ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT ALL ENTRY MATERIALS SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST ARE SUBMITTED ON A NON-CONFIDENTIAL AND NON-PROPRIETARY BASIS AND MAY BE USED BY SPONSOR.

  4. DETERMINATION OF WINNERS: One (1) Grand Prize, three (3) Second Prizes and six hundred (600) Weekly Prizes (100 per week) will be selected in a Random Drawing on or about October 19, 2009 from among all eligible entries received as per Rule #3 above. The random drawings will be conducted by Strobe Promotions, Inc., an independent judging organization, and winners will be notified within 24 hours of random drawing. Judges' and Sponsor's decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Potential winners will be notified via Facebook or Twitter (depending upon method of entry) or by electronic mail and/or overnight or U.S. mail. Potential Grand and Second Prize winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/liability release and, where legal, publicity release, and a Federal and State tax release and return these documents, properly executed, within 7 days of issuance of notification. Non-compliance with these requirements within this time frame, or if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, will result in the entrant being disqualified and the prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner. Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received for that particular drawing. Limit one prize per person.

  5. PRIZES:
    • One (1) Grand Prize: Tazzari Zero Electric Car. Approx. Retail Value (ARV): $20,000.

    • Three (3) Second Prizes:
      1. Actors Fund - You Conduct The Exit Music At The Phantom of the Opera Broadway Show. Two (2) tickets plus experience. ARV: $3,500.
      2. Four (4) tickets to the Variety Power of Youth 2009 Experience in Hollywood, CA plus four (4) VIP gift bags. ARV: $5,000.
      3. Two (2) tickets to the 2010 GRAMMYS as well as two (2) tickets to the afterparty. ARV: $5,000. Talent availability at events is not guaranteed. All transportation and/or hotel accommodations for the three (3) Second Prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners.

    • Six hundred (600) Weekly Prizes (100 per week):
      • (200) Fair Trade Frames. ARV: $25/ea.
      • (100) WorldofGood.com T-Shirts. ARV: $10.00/ea.
      • (100) MicroPlace T-shirts. ARV: $10.00/ea.
      • (100) eGW Stars. ARV: $8.00/ea.
      • (100) Solar Flashlights. ARV: $25/ea.

    Total ARV of all prizes: $43,800. Grand Prize winner is solely responsible for title/license/registration/dealer prep/insurance/taxes and any other costs associated with the vehicle. Winner must take delivery of vehicle within 30 days of notification that dealership has received vehicle. Manufacturer's warranties and guarantees apply. Actual vehicle to be provided as prize (including, but not limited to, model, make, color, year, options, and accessories) will be determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, based on availability. Winner must have proof of valid insurance and have a valid driver's license from his/her state or place of residence to receive prize. All taxes and any other costs not specifically stated within these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the winners. All major prizes will be awarded. A prize may not be transferred or substituted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion. Specifics of the prize are in Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award a prize of equal or greater value. If winner is deemed a minor in his/her state or place of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of a parent or legal guardian. Weekly & Daily Prizes will be awarded within 3-4 weeks of prize notification. Grand Prize will be awarded within 6-8 weeks of prize notification, depending upon availability.

  6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Use of any eBay Site and Sponsor's use of information submitted by entrants in connection with this Sweepstakes will be subject to the terms and conditions stated in these Official Rules as well as to the eBay User Agreement and Privacy Policy available on the eBay Site. By entering the Sweepstakes you agree that eBay, and any eBay affiliates are authorized to contact you for marketing or other purposes You will not be eligible for the Sweepstakes if your accounts on any eBay Site are not in good standing. In order for your accounts to be deemed in good standing as that term is used herein, you must not have a hold on your account and your account must not be suspended or past due as of September 1, 2009. Sponsor's use of information secured on Facebook or Twitter and submitted by entrant in connection with the Sweepstakes will be subject to the terms and conditions stated in these Official Rules as well as to either the Facebook User Agreement and Privacy Policy available on the Facebook.com or the Twitter Terms of Service and Privacy Policy available on Twitter.com. All materials submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, image, likeness, photograph, voice and biographical material and entry submission for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes by Sponsor, or a party designated by Sponsor, in any and all media now or hereafter known including but not limited to, any online announcements, or for sharing this information with the press for viewing, whether TV or print, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and Sponsor, which are final, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Official Rules. Entrants agree that any and all disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

  7. GRANT OF LICENSE: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants grant Sponsor, its agents, subsidiaries and affiliates, KOMPOLT and Strobe Promotions, Inc. (the "Licensees") a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to use, import, export, copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, display, and transmit any and all intellectual property rights entrant has in the entry, in any media now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation, the internet. Further, by entering the Sweepstakes, entrant grants Licensees the additional license to, and by winning, winners grant Sponsor the rights to, adapt, translate, and distribute the entry or incorporate the entry into any form, medium or technology, including the right, at each Licensee's and/or Sponsor's sole discretion, to publish the entry for advertising and promotional purposes.  Licensees/Sponsor shall not be required to designate entrants/winners as the creators or authors of the entries that are distributed or otherwise exploited by Licensees/Sponsor, or include any references to entrants/winners on, or in connection with, any entries that are distributed or otherwise exploited by Licensees/Sponsors.  Each entrant agrees that Sponsor may, without any limitation or further compensation, use his or her name, voice and/or likeness, or photograph in any and all media for the purpose of advertising and promoting the Website, the Sweepstakes, or any other promotion, sponsored by the Sponsor. Neither entrants nor winners shall be entitled to receive any compensation or credit for use of entries, other than that disclosed in these Official Rules.

  8. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES: Entrant represents and warrants the following: 1) that he/she is the original author and owner (or represents and warrants that the owner of such rights has expressly granted any and all rights to the entrant) of any and all entry materials posted, uploaded, or otherwise submitted (modifying, enhancing or altering a third party's pre-existing work does not qualify as entrant's original creation); 2) the entry will not infringe any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy. Entrants are prohibited from posting, uploading, or otherwise submitting any entry material that infringes on any copyright, trademark or proprietary rights of another (including publicity and privacy rights); 3) that the submission is not the subject of any actual or threatened litigation or claim; 4) that the entry material is not obscene, offensive, libelous, pornographic, threatening, abusive, contains illegal content, or is otherwise objectionable, that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense, or that would otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law. Entrant acknowledges that nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between entrant and Sponsor. In no way is entrant to be construed as the agent or to be acting as the agent of Sponsor in any respect.

  9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: ENTRANTS HEREBY AGREE TO RELEASE, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, INC., KOMPOLT AND STROBE PROMOTIONS, INC., THEIR RESPECITVE PARENT COMPANIES, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, DIVISIONS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND SHAREHOLDERS (COLLECTIVELY, THE "RELEASEES") FROM ANY CLAIMS, ACTIONS, INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, OR USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IS A COMPREHENSIVE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY THAT APPLIES TO ALL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) COMPENSATORY, DIRECT, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOSS OF DATA, INCOME, OR PROFIT; LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY; AND CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES. PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT RELEASEES HAVE NOT MADE NOR ARE IN ANY MANNER RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, TITLE, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE), IN FACT OR IN LAW, RELATIVE TO THE SWEEPSTAKES OR THE PRIZE AWARDED. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, RELEASEES DO NOT MAKE ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS WITH RESPECT TO ANY PROMOTIONAL WEB SITE AND RELEASEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES OF ANY INTERRUPTIONS OR ERRORS RELATED THERETO. Releasees are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, inaccurate, delayed, garbled, damaged, stolen or misdirected submissions, or problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human or electronic. Releasees are not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, inability to access a website, inability to submit an entry, upload a photograph, make a purchase or donation, make an investment, list an item on a website, download a badge or banner, or fraud, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions or inaccurate transcription of entry information, whether caused by Sponsor, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of the Sweepstakes at any time without notice, if in the judges' opinion there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if any virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or integrity and proper play of the Sweepstakes or for any other reason in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor may void any entries they suspect are at issue and award the prize from among all non-suspect eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR ANY ONLINE SERVICE RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of such term or any other provision. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates the rules or interferes with the Sweepstakes in any manner. If an entrant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate such entrant's eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes. Any attempt by an individual to access any website associated with the Sweepstakes via a bot script or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address becoming ineligible. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited.

  10. WINNERS' LIST: For the names of the winners, available after November 15, 2009, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope by November 15, 2009 to: eBay "Give. Good. Green." Winners, P. O. Box 913, Bethpage, NY 11714-0913.
